Information for Football Agents

In December 2022, FIFA approved the FIFA Football Agent Regulations (FFARs). The objectives of the FFARs are to ensure that football agents鈥 conduct is consistent with the core objectives of the football transfer system, particularly the integrity of football as a whole, and to guarantee minimum professional and ethical standards for the occupation of football agent.

FIFA has developed a series of resources on this topic, which can be found in the 鈥淔IFA Resources鈥 box on the right-hand side of this page.

The link to the Football Agents page of the FIFA website is included below:

FA NATIONAL FOOTBALL AGENT REGULATIONS

IMPORTANCE OF VERIFYING FOOTBALL AGENTS

Under the FFARs and NRSTRs, it is a breach to, among other things, engage or appoint an unlicensed and unregistered person to perform Football Agent Services and FIFA and FA may take disciplinary action against any parties found to have breached those regulations.

Therefore, prior to engaging the services of an individual purporting to be a Football Agent, FA strongly encourages clubs, players and parents/guardians to verify that individual鈥檚 credentials.

FA is in the process of updating its website to include a list of FIFA-licenced Football Agents registered with FA but, in the meantime, if you wish to verify an individual鈥檚 credentials, please contact FA via email: footballagents@footballaustralia.com.au.
