Each month, Member Federations across Australia recognise clubs that go above and beyond to create inclusive, safe, and sustainable environments in their communities.
These Club Changers demonstrate leadership, innovation, and a deep commitment to positive change, both on and off the pitch. For July 2025, we’re proud to highlight nine outstanding clubs that have made meaningful strides in investment, infrastructure, inclusion, and culture. Here are the Club Changers of the Month as selected by their respective Member Federations:
Naracoorte United SC – Football SA
Naracoorte United is building bridges through football in South Australia’s Limestone Coast region. The club’s strong focus on multicultural inclusion has led to a rich community environment where new migrants and long-time residents alike feel welcome. Their "One Club" culture encourages participation across all levels and backgrounds, helping break down social barriers while celebrating diversity.
Darwin Olympic SC – Football NT
Darwin Olympic SC is leading the way with its strategic planning and inclusive club culture. From new female-friendly facilities funded through federal grants to coach education programs and cultural celebrations, the club champions equality and development at all levels. Their partnerships with Brisbane Olympic FC and Southside Eagles FC support knowledge sharing, while a recent NTG community grant has bolstered infrastructure and training resources for all.
Balgownie Junior FC – Football NSW
With a proud history stretching back to 1883, Balgownie Junior FC is investing in the future by creating a more inclusive and child-safe football community. With support from council and grant funding bodies, the club upgraded floodlighting, changerooms, fencing, and installed an AED. The result? A surge in female participation, a safer environment, and a strong foundation for continued growth. Their Female Football Strategy and appointed coordinator ensure these changes are more than cosmetic, they’re cultural.
St Albans SC – Football VIC
St Albans SC is transforming into a community-focused hub through strategic partnerships and inclusive programming. The club recently rolled out a Club Development Strategy to improve its infrastructure, member experience, and female football pathway.
