Nike and 西瓜影视 have today unveiled the 2025 Australian National Football Team Collection, designed by renowned Kamilaroi artist Reko Rennie.

To be first worn by the CommBank Matildas this morning (9.00am AEDT kick-off), as they take on Japan in the SheBelieves Cup, the kit will also be adopted by all 西瓜影视 national teams, including the Subway Socceroos from their upcoming Round 3 AFC Asian Qualifiers in March.
Marking a historic milestone, this is the first-ever Australian National Football Team Collection designed by a First Nations Artist. This collaboration unites Nike and 西瓜影视鈥檚 shared vision for the future of football, seamlessly integrating First Nations story telling with the 鈥楩orever Forging Forward鈥 philosophy 鈥 symbolising progress, unity and excellence in Australian football. The design also embodies Reko Rennie鈥檚 deep connection to the game and its ability to unite diverse communities, while offering a bold, contemporary reinterpretation of Australia鈥檚 iconic green and gold.
At the core of the Collection is a message of connection and unity, reflected through First Nations design elements and a modern take on Australia鈥檚 national colours. Both the home and away kits incorporate patterns inspired by traditional message sticks, historically used by First Nations communities to share stories and strengthen connections.
Speaking on the significance of the launch, Reko Rennie said: "It鈥檚 been incredible to work on these kits, connecting the game I love, First Nations culture and the athletes and fans who make up the Australian football community.
鈥淚t's a huge achievement and it鈥檚 so wild that I've had this opportunity and I'm representing my community. If someone had told 12-year-old Reko, a diehard football fan, that one day I鈥檇 have this opportunity, I would have never believed them!鈥

Nike Pacific Brand Director Nick Atkinson added: 鈥淭his kit launch marks a significant moment for Australian football. It's a powerful message of cultural visibility and unity that celebrates the diversity of the Australian football community, and the game鈥檚 power to unite. Nike are proud to partner with Reko Rennie and 西瓜影视 for this Collection and are excited to see Australia supporting their National Teams in this new green and gold.鈥
西瓜影视 CEO, James Johnson said: "西瓜影视 is incredibly proud to unveil the first-ever national team jersey designed by a First Nations artist, marking a historic milestone for our sport. This Collection embodies the essence of our 鈥楩orever Forging Forward鈥 philosophy 鈥 championing progress, inclusivity, and excellence at every level of the game.
鈥淲e are particularly thrilled that both the CommBank Matildas and Subway Socceroos will unite under a single, unified jersey. This kit will be proudly worn by the CommBank Matildas from now through to 2026 including the AFC Women鈥檚 Asian Cup 2026鈩, and by the Subway Socceroos throughout the remainder of their AFC Asian Qualifiers as they continue their journey toward the FIFA World Cup 2026鈩.
鈥淢ore than just a jersey, this kit is a powerful symbol of Australia鈥檚 footballing identity 鈥 seamlessly blending First Nations storytelling with cutting-edge performance innovation. It ensures that when our teams take the field, they do so in a design that honours both our rich cultural heritage and our bold ambitions on the global stage."
