Port Adelaide Pirates, the oldest club in South Australia, have committed to promoting Women & Girls participation in football, creating opportunities for all age groups.

The club, as part of the process to achieve their Club Changer 1 Star accreditation, created an action plan with a key focus on increasing women and girls鈥 participation through running participation programs and 鈥榗ome & try鈥 days. Port Adelaide Pirates successfully ran Football SA Girls for Goals program following the Women鈥檚 World Cup success, reaching capacity for the program, and recruiting many new participants.

Port Adelaide Pirates were one of the clubs that took part in the inaugural 西瓜影视鈥檚 Women in Football Leadership Course that was held in South Australia. By increasing the number of women who are involved with the club鈥檚 management, the club strives to empower the girls and the women to show their leadership potential.
Acting Chairperson, David Arnold, notes the importance of the Club Changer program, impressed with the amount of information that is available to help clubs grow and become more prosperous.
