FFA to streamline management team

After almost 10 years in the role of Head of Legal, Business Affairs and Integrity as well as Company Secretary, Jo Setright has decided to move to a reduced role for personal reasons.

She will remain Company Secretary on a part time basis and act as special counsel. Tim Holden will become Head of Legal and Business Affairs and join the Senior Management Team while Tracey Scott will become General Counsel - Regulatory and Integrity.

FFA CEO David Gallop said Ms Setright had played a critical role for FFA over a long period.  鈥淢ost of Jo鈥檚 work in the legal and regulatory area is invisible to the football public but her contribution has been vital to the sport. I am pleased that we will continue to have the benefit of her advice, albeit in a part time capacity.鈥

Meanwhile Luke Bould has been appointed to head an amalgamated Commercial, Digital and Marketing department 鈥 which will include responsibility for Media Rights - following the resignation of Robert Squillacioti who is leaving FFA after six years to pursue other opportunities.

Mr Gallop praised Mr Squillacioti鈥榮 contribution to football as Head of Marketing, Digital and Fan Engagement: 鈥淩ob repositioned the Hyundai A-League towards young families and launched the 鈥淵ou鈥檝e Gotta Have A Team鈥 campaign, he has led the re-branding of football for next season, he created the brand proposition for the Westfield FFA Cup and assisted with the branding for the Western Sydney Wanderers.  He has also led the project to transform our digital offering. He has been a great member of the team and we wish him well for the future.鈥

Mr Gallop said Luke Bould, currently Head of Commercial and Media Rights, was an obvious choice to take over marketing responsibilities in a merged department.  鈥淭here are real synergies that can be achieved in bringing these work areas under one head,鈥 he said. 鈥淲ith a Masters of Marketing, and extensive sports administration management, marketing communications, strategic planning and business development experience together with his organisational skills and focus on performance, I am excited about this opportunity for Luke and for FFA.鈥

鈥淭his is also a chance to ensure that FFA鈥檚 management structure remains lean and efficient,鈥 he said.
