Chris Beath appointed Assistant Video Assistant Referee for AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019鈩 Final

Australian referee Chris Beath has been appointed as the Assistant Video Assistant Referee (AVAR) for the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019鈩 Final between Japan and Qatar on Saturday morning (AEDT). 

The appointment comes off the back of a stellar tournament for Beath, who refereed the Semi-Final between Japan and Iran on Tuesday morning (AEDT). 

Beath also refereed two group games: Bahrain v Thailand, and Lebanon v DPR Korea.

The 34-year-old has been part of an historical tournament after the VAR was made available for the first time in an AFC Asian Cup鈩 upon the commencement of the Quarter-Finals stage.
