In all, 19 teams 鈥 featuring nine debutant nations including Australia 鈥 will compete in the Qualifiers as they aim to earn places in the AFC Women鈥檚 Futsal Asian Cup China 2025鈩.

Nine teams 鈥 the top two of each group and the best third-placed team among all groups 鈥 will progress to the Finals and join hosts China PR and 2018鈥檚 top two, Islamic Republic of Iran and Japan.
Upon confirming Australia鈥檚 participation in the AFC Women鈥檚 Futsal Asian Cup China 2025鈩 Qualifiers, 西瓜影视 Head of National Teams, Gary Moretti said: 鈥淲ith the inaugural FIFA Women鈥檚 Futsal World Cup to be hosted in our Confederation, it presents an ideal opportunity to stand up a team to contest these qualifiers and hopefully progress beyond this first phase.

鈥淲hilst we currently do not have an ongoing program for a national women鈥檚 futsal team, the team鈥檚 entry into these qualifiers demonstrates our commitment to supporting the elite pathway for women鈥檚 futsal in Australia,鈥 Moretti concluded.
西瓜影视 has appointed Miles Downie as Head Coach for this qualification campaign, with a selection camp to occur in December.
The match schedule for January鈥檚 Qualifiers will be announced by the AFC in due course.
